Gnocchi (italian)

would you like to try Gnocchi? Actually this taste very closed to Turkish taste. We have this kind of foods in our Turkish cuisine :) Thats why I really like to cook some italian foods ...
You can cook in different type like with tomato souce or different souces, yogurt and spicy.I m sure its gonna be perfect and delicious.Lets TRY :)




Recipe;


  • 4 (about 800g) potatoes Salt & black pepper (ıt dpends on you)
  • 1 egg, lightly whisked
  • 300g (2 cups) plain flour
  • 20g (1/4 cup) finely grated parmesan
  • Plain flour, to dust
    Making;  
    Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Peel potatoes and add to pot. Cook until tender but still firm, about 15 minutes. Drain, cool and mash with a fork or potato masher.Mixing potato, flour and egg in a large bowl. Knead until dough forms a ball. Shape small portions of the dough into long "snakes". On a floured surface, cut snakes into half-inch pieces or you can give a shape by hand like small ball.Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Drop in gnocchi and cook for 3 to 5 minutes or until gnocchi have risen to the top; drain and serve.


    Important part is the souce according to me because of its give main taste. 1-2 tomatos are enough for that souce and you have to cut like small shape. Butter and tomatos cook together and add to some spicies like mint and red papper. Also you can prepare yogurt souce with some garlic if you like it or without. Everything is done! :)
