city of Hazelnut, Ordu

 

Ordu is city of hazelnut because of hazelnut more important for economic in this city.

As I said before, Turkey has 7 region and one of region is Black Sea Region.This region has 3 part also.. I would like to introduce east part today :)

Ordu, Giresun, Trabzon, Rize, Artvin, Gümüşhane, Amasya.. some of cities from thsi region. You can watch amazing black sea and green forests throughout your trip.. First city is ORDU. Ordu is my father's hometown that has nice small counties.Also my family live in Unye that is part of Ordu.We have great house because of around.Our house in middle of the green part in the sea side area.It has amzaing view ..If you want to rest for relax, you should go to that part directly.Because black sea consists blue and green..

 Xenophon delivered a historical speech in Ordu.Greek historian Xenophon (431 B.C.), in his book Anabasis (Return of Thousands), claims Ordu local inhabitants to be Kolhs, Halibs, Mossynoics, and Tibarens. The center of Tibarens was Ünye. During Cimmerian era, Miletosians established trade colonies along the coastal regions of the site. The rule passed to Meds and Persians after Cimmerians. (547-334 B.C.) The Pont Satrap set by Mithridates 280 B.C. and 63 A.D. survived for about 3.5 centuries. Parnakles, son of Mithradates IV is known to dominate the region and gave the name Paranakia. This king resisted against Romans for 25 years and finally surrendered. As a result, Pontus shores went under Roman and Byzantine reign.

Boztepe offers a beautiful view of the city and coastline.You can eat traditional food or drink turkish tea while you sit and to watch nice nature. Black Sea with its 100 kilometers coastline, 60 kilometers of which is comprised of beaches.

Also you can visit historical places like Paşaoğlu Mansion (Etnography Museum), Osman Pasha Fountain, Mosque, Big and Turkish baths, Taşbaş Culturel Center- Old prison Church, Kurul Castle Habitation...

In KurulCastle Habitation, Turnasuyu valley is the most ideal destination for trekking not only in Ordu but also in Turkey.

You are in Black sea of course you should go to PLATEAU.. You gonna be greeted amazing nature when you go to plateau! You can meet crazy turkish people.Actually there are small villages and you can meet some farmers who live in here.Those people very friendly and hospitaly who can invite you for to taste some traditional foods (homemade).
